Task 2: ideas of ancillary products and how they will link with the video

Our initial ideas for our digi-pack was:

•  image of the artist links with the digi-pck, magazine advert and the main video
• a close-up of the artist that focuses on the star and increases her star persona
• a convention of a digi-pack is the main artist or symbolic item that represents the band/artist

 

This is my design idea. The first (on the left hand side) a faded image that has been photoshoped and layers of other images put on top, and the text in a large font to make it stand out. The second idea was the digi pack that is similar to Rihanna's.

 



 

 

This image (below) is the kind of idea of what I see our artist like in our CD cover. Not as the m ain image at the front but as a faded image that is behind where the CD goes.   

 

Our initial ideas for our magazine advert was:

• the image on the advert to be the same or very similar to that on the digi-pack
• showing the good star persona that we want to portray our artist to be
• to promote and sell the artist and song and eye-catching

The conventions of a magazine advert is:

• name of the artist/band
• name of album
• release date
• website, twitter & facebook address
• reviews/ star ratings
• record label branding
• tour dates (if wanted)
