music video blog task: 4 on Prezi
TV distribution:
I firstly looked at the TV channel distribution. After looking at the following: MTV, 4Music, Viva and Chart Show they are some of the most popular music channels. If our video was aired, I think it would be on Chart Show as it airs lots from the pop genre so would fit in well. Overall, I think it would be aired and viewed on all the above channels but, more on others due to the genre of the music. TV distribution is a really good way of getting your music video to audiences that you may not think would want to listen to it.
Internet distribution:
Top 40 Uk - this airs new videos and chart music videos in the top 40 UK singles chart. Out video maybe aired on here if it was in the chart but if not it may not. However, it does have talk about new music videos that are being released so a link would be shown where to see it.
VEVO - very similar to Youtube, but has just music videos and live shows from the artists. Each artist has there own VEVO page, for example CherylColeVEVO. And has all their music videos on there, as well as lyric videos if the song has yet to have a video made.
Vimeo - it does distribute videos but not as many music videos as youtube and VEVO for example. But I think it would be possible to put our video on there to gain puplicity and supporters before the big websites.
iTunes - itunes sell music videos to account holders for about £1.50. But this method of buying the video has become less popular due to being able to watch it for free on other websites as many times as you like.
YouTube - like VEVO it airs all music videos that are out for audiences to watch at any time of day.
